Ghungroo or dancing bells are musical anklets tied to the feet of classical Indian dancers. A string of ghungroos can range from 10 to 200 bells knotted together. Ghungroos are worn in traditional performances of the classical Indian dance forms. These ghungharus are globular bells each about 2 cm in diameter. Dancers string them on ropes or sew them onto cloth or leather strips and wear them around ankles. Larger ghungroos may be strung on a circle of wire and shaken as accompaniment to a song. They are often fixed to other instruments to add to the sound. The bells are decorative in themselves and the cords strung are often bright and finished with tassels.

The Hindu God Krishna is traditionally considered a master of the Bansuri or Flute. The bansuri is made from a single hollow shaft of bamboo with six or seven finger holes. The Indian flutes are very simple compared to the western counterparts, they are made of bamboo and are keyless. And flute is a reedless wind instrument that produces its sound from the flow of air across of opening. The fingers of both hands are used to close and open the holes. It has a blowing hole near one end, and eight closely placed finger holes.

Gopichand or Ektar is a one-string instrument most often used in folk music and is plucked with one finger. Gopichand also known as gopiyantra, is a very popular folk instrument of Bengal. It is an instrument that is much used by the wandering minstrels known as the Baul.

There are several variations on the basis of the construction methods of instrument. The length may vary from one foot to three feet, however 2-3 feet is the standard size. It consists of a length of bamboo that is split through most of the length. The two ends are pried apart and attached to a resonator. This resonator may be a coconut, gourd, metal container or a hollowed out cylindrical section of wood. The open end of the resonator is covered with taught skin and a string penetrates the centre. This string is attached to a reinforced section in the centre. This string then passes through the hollow of the resonator and attaches to a tuning peg located in the bamboo.
The sound of the gopichand is most distinctive. There is a peculiar bending of the pitch as the two legs of the bamboo are squeezed together by the left hand while the right hand plucks the string. This is a rhythmic instrument rather than a melodic instrument and it is used to accompany instruments such as kartal, dotar etc.
